After each use, it is a good idea to stretch the gloves slightly lengthwise, so that their original finger length and shape are restored. If gloves are not stretched lengthwise regularly, deep grooves and wrinkles will remain on the fingers, and over time the fingers of the gloves will shorten by up to half a centimeter.

For temporary storage during the day, it is a good idea to fold the gloves neatly in half in a pocket or bag - they do not like to be wrinkled.

At home and for longer storage, it is a good idea to store the gloves flat and airy.

Please avoid getting your gloves wet! Very bright and strong colors can bleed a little when they get wet. However, if your gloves do get wet, let them dry on their own at room temperature, preferably on a towel. Small marks caused by getting wet can be removed by gently stretching the leather in different directions at and around them.

Nappa leather can be shined by rubbing the gloves with a soft cloth and using a little talcum powder.

Suede leather can be fluffed up with a soft brush or a piece of foam. Suede gloves may release a little so-called suede dust when new, which can be removed by brushing lightly.

Care and washing of leather gloves

Although gloves do not like to get wet, occasionally they can be washed by hand if necessary. However, gloves only need washing rarely, if ever. Machine washing is far too harsh for leather gloves. We do not reccomend washing hairsheep leather unless its washable leather.

How often should you care for your gloves? There is no single answer to this. If you have several gloves, they may need thorough care and washing very rarely. Gloves that are in very active use may need to be cared for, for example, at the end of the season.

Watch the leather glove care instruction video HERE. Below are the written instructions for washing leather gloves.

You will need the following tools:

Leather soap. Use a very mild and high-fat detergent (e.g. our selection of leather soaps or Marseille soap). The fat content of the detergent protects the elasticity and softness of the leather.

Two sponges. One for soap and one for care gel. A good sponge for soap is, for example, a natural sponge. Do not immerse the gloves in water, as natural fiber lining materials may shrink if the water temperature is accidentally too high. Please also note that gloves with fur linings or other fur trim cannot be washed with water.

First, wipe off any dirt and dust that comes off the gloves with a leather brush.

Wet the sponge and squeeze out the excess water.

Lather the soap by rubbing the soap with the sponge.

Use gentle circular motions to go through the entire glove, one section at a time. Every time you have soaped one part, you can wipe it clean with the clean side of the sponge.

Let the glove dry at room temperature for 15-30 minutes. Gloves do not like heat, so do not put them on a radiator or other heat source. While the gloves are still slightly damp, carefully put them on your hand so that they regain their original shape.

Repeat the treatment on the other glove.

Then it is time to apply the care lotion. Put the glove you want to treat on your hand. Use a clean sponge to apply the product. A surprisingly small amount of care lotion is needed. So apply the product sparingly, one section at a time. If necessary, you can add more to areas that seem to need it.

Let the glove dry again and absorb the care effects of the care gel. 15-30 minutes.

Put the glove on your hand again and brush the glove all over with a leather brush. Brushing brings out the shine of the leather and prevents it from becoming sticky.
