Oiltech Leather — Superior Grip & Feel
The DONNA golf glove is made from Oiltech-treated hairsheep leather — a special oil-impregnation process that gives the leather a naturally enhanced grip. The oily surface increases friction and tactile sensitivity, so you feel the club more precisely and maintain a more consistent, secure hold throughout your swing. Oiltech leather also improves moisture resistance, keeping the glove performing even in humid conditions or light rain.
The nappa of the hairsheepskin is soft and flexible, so it molds to fit perfectly during use. The unlined gloves are like a second skin. As a natural material, leather breathes well, which makes the gloves very comfortable to wear.
Multiple elastic straps and an adjustable Velcro fastening make the glove even more grippy.
Thin leather is already very breathable in itself, but this is enhanced by the breathing holes at the base of the fingers and the perforations running along the fingers.
The most important step in achieving the right fit for the gloves is the cutting of the leather. Using the centuries-old table cutting method, the gloves are given just the right fit. The excess stretch is manually stretched from the leather, leaving only the adjustment margin that ensures an excellent fit.
All the leather we use is obtained as a by-product of the food industry. Glove manufacturing is also inherently economical, as the many small parts allow the leather to be utilized as carefully as possible, so that valuable material is not wasted.
Choosing the right size is very essential for the fit of the gloves. Check your correct glove size using a measuring tape and our size chart. Initially, the gloves should fit very snugly, even tight. The glove will stretch in the width direction. However, the fingers of the gloves should be long enough right away, as the fingers do not stretch longer with use.
Tips for a long life of gloves: Always after use, stretch the gloves slightly in the length direction to restore their correct shape. Store loosely between uses so that accumulated moisture has time to evaporate and unnecessary wrinkles do not form in the leather.
