Possum fur is hollow, which makes it both very warm and breathable, but also exceptionally light. The hollow fur makes the knitwear up to 20% lighter in weight and up to 30% warmer than a similar wool knitwear.
The possum is an invasive species in New Zealand, where it has no natural enemies. Controlling the population of this pest is vital to maintaining the fragile balance of New Zealand's nature. The use of possum fur in the knitwear was created as a by-product of the capture of this invasive species, which means it meets our requirements for ethically sourced material.

Goodbye lint! The knitwear hardly lints even after years of use, as the fibers of the ingenious blend are so durable that they do not easily break and cause lint. Compared to regular wool or cashmere, this knitwear is downright confusingly lint-free.
Care instructions:
For maintenance, it is recommended to air the knitwear regularly and lightly brush away dirt and dust with a soft clothes brush. If done regularly, this procedure is often sufficient, and the product does not necessarily need to be washed. Washing is only needed very rarely, as the knitwear does not move easily. The knitwear should be stored folded horizontally in an airy manner. It should only be stored on a hanger for the duration of the airing. This prevents premature stretching.
Stains should be immediately absorbed into paper or a cloth, in which case washing may not be necessary. To remove stains, use our gentle soap intended for gloves or, for example, Marseille soap. If necessary, the product can be washed by hand in cool water with a gentle wool detergent. Dry flat on a towel.
