Broken glove lining? Hole in finger? A broken glove lining doesn't necessarily mean the end of its life.

With our liner replacement service, your Sauso gloves will get a new lining and more years of comfortable use.

    • Leather is more wear-resistant than the lining, so the lining is usually the first part of the gloves to break. Many people ask us whether it is worth replacing the lining of the gloves. If the leather of the gloves is intact and you still want to use the gloves, replacing the lining can give your hands a nice extra time to wear the gloves that are already well-shaped. The gloves are also significantly more comfortable and warmer when your fingers do not reach into the holes in the broken lining.

It is therefore worth maintaining old but intact leather gloves and eventually transferring them from neat city use to another purpose, such as as car maintenance, refueling and snow removal gloves or for walking the dog. The lining replacement and repair service is only available for Sauso gloves, i.e. we do not repair gloves from other manufacturers.

The lining replacement service can be ordered at our brick-and-mortar store or via online store and mail. If you bring the gloves to the store, payment can be conveniently made at the same time. Payment is made before the lining exchange is carried out. Our store is located in the heart of Helsinki, at Mikonkatu 7.

The lining exchange service works by mail as follows: (Only in Finland)

      1. Order in the online store. Select the lining material you want from the drop-down box and add the product to the shopping cart. Complete the purchase. You will receive an order number for your purchase.

      2. Packaging and delivery of gloves.

      • Pack the gloves in any packaging suitable for shipping that protects the product.
      • Enclose a form with the package that shows the following information: Order number, name, contact information (phone number, email, postal address).
      • Send the package to us at: Sauso, Mikonkatu 7, 00100 Helsinki sauso.shop@sauso.com

      3. Lining replacement. The gloves are sent from us to the factory, where the glove seamstress removes the old lining and sews a new lining onto the gloves.

For ecological reasons, we always collect several gloves in the same shipment, so we do not send individual gloves to the factory. We send the shipment to the factory regularly. The finished gloves are sent to us in connection with regular deliveries. This way we reduce the carbon footprint of the service.

      4. You will receive a notification when the gloves are ready to be picked up from the store or if you chose delivery, you will receive a tracking number for the package. The shipping usually takes 1-4 business days.

The lining change takes approximately 4-10 weeks in total. The duration of the service varies slightly depending on the season. The duration is affected by the factory's congestion, transport and processing times.

We recommend changing the lining outside the glove use season or purchasing replacement gloves so that you don't have to wait with your fingers cold for the gloves that are returned from the lining change. It is also wise to buy a pair of gloves from the same use season, as it helps the skin to have rest days from time to time. This way you will enjoy the gloves for even longer!
