The fur of the stoat is hollow inside, which makes the fur both extremely warm and breathable, but also exceptionally light. The product is therefore up to 30% lighter in weight than a comparable wool knit. The use of stoat fur in knitwear has arisen as a byproduct of hunting this harmful invasive species, meaning it meets our requirements for ethically sourced material. New Zealand's approximately 60 million stoats threaten the original natural biodiversity, as they do not have enough natural predators.
Precious and fine silk perfects the highly developed combination by bringing durability, smoothness, and breathability to the knitwear.
The knit hardly pills even after years of use, as the fibers in the ingenious blend are so durable that they do not easily break causing pilling.

Sizes S-XL always fit from a slender teenager's hand to a large workman's hand. The glove size is indicative, as the knit stretches somewhat.
The finger length of the gloves is shorter compared to the last of Sauson leather gloves. So if you have long fingers, it's better to choose a larger size.- S = corresponds approximately to sizes 5-6.5

Care instructions
To care for the knitwear, it is advisable to air it regularly and brush off dirt and dust with a clothes brush. When done regularly, this often suffices, and the product does not necessarily need washing. For stain removal, our gentle soap intended for gloves or, for example, Marseille soap is suitable. If necessary, the product can be washed in cool water with a gentle wool detergent and program. Dry flat on a towel.

Käsineiden valmistus käsityönä on luonnostaan hyvin taloudellista ja siten ekologista materiaalien käytön osalta. Leikkausvaiheessa leikkuri optimoi nahan kulutuksen siten, että leikkuujätettä syntyy minimaalisen vähän. Tähän tarkoitukseen käsineet ovat erinomainen tuote, sillä niissä on paljon pieniä osia (sormenvälit, peukalot, ranteen kanttaus), joihin voidaan käyttää hyvinkin pienet nahanpalaset. Hienolaatuisen aniliininahan luonnollinen tuntuma säilyy rumpuvärjäyksen ansiosta, eli nahan päälle ei ruiskuteta halpatuotannolle tyypillisiä kemikaaleja. Materiaalien valmistuksessa käytetyt vedet puhdistetaan jo tehtaalla. Ekologisten seikkojen huomioiminen on meille tärkeää tuotannon ja toiminnan joka vaiheessa. Esimerkiksi tuotelaput valmistetaan FSC-setrifioidusta kartongista käsinetehtaamme naapuritehtaassa, jolloin myös kuljetuksen hiilijalanjälki on minimaalinen.
Käsineemme valmistetaan käsityönä Unkarissa kauniissa Pecs-nimisessä kaupungissa, joka on maailman laatukäsineiden valmistuksen osaamisen keskus. Käsineiden valmistus on erittäin arvostettu käsityöala, ja alansa parhaiden käsinevalmistajien työolot ovat kunnossa ja EU-lakien mukaiset. Käytämme ainoastaan nahkaa, joka saadaan ruokatuotannon sivutuotteena (kuten lammas) ja/tai kannanhallinnan seurauksena (kuten hirvi). Tarhattujen eläinten turkiksia emme käytä. Meille prioriteettina on valmistaa laadukkaita ja pitkäikäisiä asusteita. Seuraamme kuitenkin tarkasti myös vegaanisten materiaalien kenttää, ja tulevaisuudessa saattaakin olla mahdollista valmistaa vegaanisia käsineitä. Materiaalit hankitaan luotettavilta yhteistyökumppaneilta, jolloin tuotantoketjun vaiheet ovat tiedossa.
Kestävistä materiaaleista ja huolellisella käsityöllä valmistetut käsineet kestävät käytössä pitkään. Kannustamme tuotteidemme mahdollisimman pitkäaikaiseen käyttöön, ja opastammekin käsineiden huollossa ja korjauksessa. Esimerkiksi käsineiden luonnonkuituiset vuorit on mahdollista vaihtaa, mikä lisää käsineiden käyttöikää entisestään. Vuorinvaihto- ja käsineiden korjauspalvelu toimivat myymälämme kautta. Kestävyyteen liittyy lisäksi tyylin ja muotoilun kestävyys. Klassisena asusteena käsineet eivät ole kiinni sesongeittain vaihtuvissa trendeissä, vaan käsineet palvelevat käyttäjänsä pukeutumista koko niiden elinkaaren ajan.
