Uncompromising luxury for the whole family. In our opinion, this world's best knit blend combines luxurious and superior materials in terms of properties. Breathability, moisture-wicking, pilling resistance, and softness come together in this exceptionally durable and warm knit.
Most of the knit is merino wool. Merino is a beloved material due to its practicality and pleasant properties. Highly breathable and moisture-wicking merino wool keeps the skin dry and warm.
Possum fur is hollow inside, which makes the fur both very warm and breathable, but also exceptionally light. Thanks to the hollow fur, the knit is therefore up to 20% lighter in weight and up to 30% warmer than a comparable wool knit.
It is precisely because of the possum fur that this knit blend looks and feels so luxurious and simply superior. It really cannot be compared to any other knit blend.
Possum is a harmful invasive species in New Zealand, where it has no natural enemies. Controlling the population of this pest animal is vital for preserving the fragile balance of New Zealand's nature. The use of possum fur in knitting arose as a byproduct of controlling this harmful invasive species, thus meeting our requirements for ethically sourced material.
Valuable and fine silk perfects the highly developed combination by bringing durability, smoothness, and breathability to the knit.
Goodbye pilling! The knit hardly pills even after years of use, as the fibers of the ingenious blend are so durable that they do not easily break causing pilling. Compared to ordinary wool or cashmere, this knit is surprisingly pilling-free.
For care, it is advisable to air the knit regularly and gently brush off dirt and dust with a soft clothes brush. When done regularly, this procedure is often sufficient, and the product does not necessarily need washing. Washing is needed only very rarely, as the knit does not easily get dirty. Stains should be immediately blotted with paper or cloth, so washing may not be necessary. For stain removal, our gentle soap intended for gloves or, for example, Marseille soap is suitable. The product can be washed by hand in cool water with a gentle wool detergent if necessary. Dry flat on a towel.
