Size chart
| Size | Hand circumference | Inches |
|---|
The same chart applies to women's and men's leather gloves. Measure the hand you write with, it is usually the larger one.
Between two sizes?
Choose the smaller one. A new Sauso glove should feel snug. The leather is crafted to shape itself to your hand during the first hours and days of wear.
How should the right size feel?
- Palm: no extra leather is left around the hand, and the leather sits snugly around it at first.
- Fingers: when new, the fingers of the glove are two or three millimetres longer than your fingers. Creases form with wear, and the fingers shorten slightly as the leather shapes itself in width.
- Leather gives in width, not in length. The palm and fingers ease a little with wear, but the fingers do not get longer.
Long or short fingers?
Choose the same size in a long-finger or short-finger model. Long-finger models have fingers about 5 mm longer and short-finger models about 5 mm shorter than our regular models.
No measuring tape?
- Wrap a string, ribbon, shoelace or strip of paper around your palm across the knuckles, with the thumb outside. Mark where it meets its starting end, lay it straight next to a ruler and read the length.
- A paper glove measure comes with every online order, and you can pick one up free of charge at our store on Mikonkatu.
When your gloves arrive
- Bend your fingers slightly backwards. If a small groove forms over the knuckles, the size is right.
- Try them on at home in peace. Size exchanges are free of charge when the gloves are returned in as-new condition. Return postage depends on the country of delivery.
- Every pair is made by hand, one pair at a time, and the artisan stamps their own mark inside the pair.
- Our leathers are natural: they are not coated or sprayed. Every hide is unique, so pairs of the same model can differ slightly in feel and surface.

Sizes for mittens and knitted gloves
A mitten does not need to fit as snugly as a leather glove: it keeps you warmer with a little air inside. The sizes are unisex. Choose by your leather glove size.
| Size | Women's glove size | Men's glove size |
|---|---|---|
| XS | 6 | 7 |
| S | 6.5 | 7.5 |
| M | 7 | 8 |
| L | 7.5 | 8.5 |
| XL | 8 | 9 |
| XXL | 8.5 | 9.5 |
For the city and public transport you can choose a snugger size. For wind and frost, choose a roomier one.

Belt size
The belt size is its length in centimetres from the buckle to the middle hole. Size 90 fits when your measurement is 90 cm. The belt has seven holes about 2.5 cm apart, so the same size adjusts about 7 cm in either direction.
How to measure
- Take a belt that fits you and lay it flat on a table.
- Measure from the buckle fold, where the leather turns around the buckle, to the hole you use most. Do not include the buckle.
- That number is your belt size. Choose the nearest size.
- Put on the trousers you wear the belt with.
- Wrap a tape measure or a string around the trousers at the belt loops, snug but not tight.
- That measurement is your belt size. Choose the nearest size.

Belts are unisex sizes. Not every size is available in every model.
Between two sizes?
Choose the larger one. The belt then fastens in a tighter hole than the middle one, leaving room to loosen it.
Jeans or suit trousers?
On thick trousers such as jeans, the belt travels a longer way round than on thin suit trousers. If you wear the same belt with both, measure over the thicker pair.
The width of each model is in the product description. A narrow belt suits the loops of suit trousers, a wide one suits jeans.
Can the belt be shortened?
You can shorten the GRACE belt yourself: open the buckle and trim the leather at the buckle end. Our other belts cannot be shortened, so choose the size that matches your measurement.

Belts and hats can also be exchanged for another size when the size you want is in stock. The exchange is free when the item is returned as new. Return postage depends on the delivery country.

Hat size
The hat size is your head circumference in centimetres: size 58 fits a head that measures 58 cm. Our straw hats come in sizes M and L.
How to measure your head
- Wrap a tape measure around your head about one centimetre above your eyebrows and ears. At the back, it runs over the widest part of the head.
- Keep the tape snug but not tight, and read the measurement where the tape meets its start.
- Choose your size. If you are between two sizes, choose the larger one and tighten the hat with the inner ribbon.
- No tape measure? Wrap a string or ribbon around your head in the same place.
- Mark the point where the string meets its start with a pen or your fingers.
- Lay the string flat next to a ruler and read the length from the start to the mark.

For straw hats, size M fits a head circumference of 55-58 cm and L fits 57-60 cm.
Inner ribbon
Most of our hats have an inner ribbon that makes the hat 2-3 cm smaller, depending on the model. A hat cannot be made larger, so between two sizes the larger one is the safer choice. The product description tells you if the model has a ribbon.
How should the right size feel?
The hat stays on in the wind without pressing on your forehead. If it leaves a red mark on your forehead, it is too small.
