This glove combines two wonderful luxury materials, peccary and Kashmir wool blend. The excellent insulation of both materials makes these gloves great winter gloves that keep hands warm even in severe cold. Peccary wild boar leather is naturally thick and porous, so it insulates heat well. Peccary wild boar leather is characterized by a beautiful matte surface. The velvety soft leather has the typical peccary hair follicle patterns – three adjacent small dots. The unique character of gloves made from wild animal leather also includes small life marks, so each pair is unique. Peccary leather is very durable and develops a beautiful patina over time, so these gloves will bring joy to their user for many years.
In addition to peccary leather being perfect for gloves, its value comes from its limited availability. Peccary leather comes from Peru, which is the only country allowed to sell this valuable leather. Indigenous communities living in the Amazon jungle hunt the animal for its meat. Hunting this CITES-protected animal is only permitted for survival. So the wild boar is not hunted for its leather; the leather is only a byproduct. Each pair is unique, as the hides of wild animals also show the animal's lived life.

Using a centuries-old table cutting method, the gloves achieve the right fit. Excess stretch is removed from the leather, leaving only the adaptation allowance that ensures excellent fit. This ensures that the gloves do not stretch even after long use, but retain their fit. Each leather is treated separately. The relatively small wild animal hides are very flawed, with many life marks and even holes. Cutting the leather resembles a puzzle, as an experienced cutter searches for the right spots on the leather for each part of the glove. Fortunately, the hides can be used carefully because the gloves have many small parts between the fingers.
The lining inside the glove is practically a mitten inside the glove. In use, leather lasts longer than knitted lining, so to extend the lifespan, it is possible to replace the lining with a new one if necessary.

Käsineiden valmistus käsityönä on luonnostaan hyvin taloudellista ja siten ekologista materiaalien käytön osalta. Leikkausvaiheessa leikkuri optimoi nahan kulutuksen siten, että leikkuujätettä syntyy minimaalisen vähän. Tähän tarkoitukseen käsineet ovat erinomainen tuote, sillä niissä on paljon pieniä osia (sormenvälit, peukalot, ranteen kanttaus), joihin voidaan käyttää hyvinkin pienet nahanpalaset. Hienolaatuisen aniliininahan luonnollinen tuntuma säilyy rumpuvärjäyksen ansiosta, eli nahan päälle ei ruiskuteta halpatuotannolle tyypillisiä kemikaaleja. Materiaalien valmistuksessa käytetyt vedet puhdistetaan jo tehtaalla. Ekologisten seikkojen huomioiminen on meille tärkeää tuotannon ja toiminnan joka vaiheessa. Esimerkiksi tuotelaput valmistetaan FSC-setrifioidusta kartongista käsinetehtaamme naapuritehtaassa, jolloin myös kuljetuksen hiilijalanjälki on minimaalinen.
Käsineemme valmistetaan käsityönä Unkarissa kauniissa Pecs-nimisessä kaupungissa, joka on maailman laatukäsineiden valmistuksen osaamisen keskus. Käsineiden valmistus on erittäin arvostettu käsityöala, ja alansa parhaiden käsinevalmistajien työolot ovat kunnossa ja EU-lakien mukaiset. Käytämme ainoastaan nahkaa, joka saadaan ruokatuotannon sivutuotteena (kuten lammas) ja/tai kannanhallinnan seurauksena (kuten hirvi). Tarhattujen eläinten turkiksia emme käytä. Meille prioriteettina on valmistaa laadukkaita ja pitkäikäisiä asusteita. Seuraamme kuitenkin tarkasti myös vegaanisten materiaalien kenttää, ja tulevaisuudessa saattaakin olla mahdollista valmistaa vegaanisia käsineitä. Materiaalit hankitaan luotettavilta yhteistyökumppaneilta, jolloin tuotantoketjun vaiheet ovat tiedossa.
Kestävistä materiaaleista ja huolellisella käsityöllä valmistetut käsineet kestävät käytössä pitkään. Kannustamme tuotteidemme mahdollisimman pitkäaikaiseen käyttöön, ja opastammekin käsineiden huollossa ja korjauksessa. Esimerkiksi käsineiden luonnonkuituiset vuorit on mahdollista vaihtaa, mikä lisää käsineiden käyttöikää entisestään. Vuorinvaihto- ja käsineiden korjauspalvelu toimivat myymälämme kautta. Kestävyyteen liittyy lisäksi tyylin ja muotoilun kestävyys. Klassisena asusteena käsineet eivät ole kiinni sesongeittain vaihtuvissa trendeissä, vaan käsineet palvelevat käyttäjänsä pukeutumista koko niiden elinkaaren ajan.
